At Galloway Logs, our roots run deep in the South West of Scotland. For over 25 years, we have been growing trees in our private woodland, initially intended as a nature reserve rather than a commercial forestry operation. When severe weather damage led to a significant number of trees being downed, we saw an opportunity to sustainably manage the area ourselves—ensuring the long-term health of the forest and its wildlife.
For over 80 years, our family has maintained a deep connection with the land. We’ve always valued the delicate balance between nature and human use. Our commitment to sustainability is at the core of everything we do. By harvesting and replanting the trees ourselves, we protect the environment and ensure that future generations can continue to enjoy the benefits of our woodland.
Unlike commercial forestry operations that may harm local ecosystems, we take a mindful approach to how we harvest. Each tree felled is replaced with careful consideration, allowing the forest to thrive. We remain committed to preserving local wildlife and creating a balanced habitat where nature and firewood coexist.
As a family-run business, we are dedicated to offering not just premium firewood, but a sense of responsibility to our land and community. We take pride in every aspect of our work, from planting new trees to delivering firewood directly to you. Our approach is rooted in values passed down through generations, ensuring that every log we provide is part of a larger vision for sustainability.
